Christie Boutte is the Senior Vice President of Reimbursement, Innovation, and Advocacy, where she oversees policy development, strategic direction, advocacy, and overall management of the association’s reimbursement portfolio at the federal and state levels and assists with the strategic development of priority issues to advance and expand pharmacy practice and programs. Christie also serves as the Interim President of the NACDS Foundation, providing leadership and strategic oversight to advance the Foundation’s mission in support of patient care, pharmacy innovation, and public health initiatives through research and education.
Previously, Christie served as the Senior Vice President of State Strategic Affairs and Advocacy, where she led state legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts to advance the practice of pharmacy in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. She has also served as Vice President of Regulatory Advocacy and Research for NACDS, playing a key role in developing strategic approaches to advancing reimbursement initiatives for prescription drugs and pharmacy-provided services with private and public payers.
Before joining NACDS, Christie served as a Clinical Program Manager with CIGNA HealthCare, where she was involved in the development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of Cigna’s Medicare Part D–related programs and patient-focused initiatives. She also served as a Pharmacist and Health Insurance Specialist with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), where she focused on medication management quality measure development and Medicaid Drug Rebate Policy.
Christie earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy. She remains dedicated to the profession of pharmacy and believes pharmacists should take every opportunity to advocate for the profession and stay actively involved in decisions that impact the quality-of-care patients receive.

The NACDS Foundation will be recognizing schools and colleges of pharmacy for their programs focused on innovation and inspiring interest in pharmacy education, aiming to advance patient care and public health.
