In her twenty-two plus years in the Silverman College of Pharmacy, Dr. Clark has served as Interim Dean, Executive Associate Dean, Associate Dean, and Pharmaceutical Sciences Department Chair. She is a visionary leader that is passionate about creating innovative educational programs to include establishing Pharmaceutical Science degrees and certificate programs in her college. Dr. Clark increased the College’s scholarship corpus by over 400% and annually awards over $850,000 in scholarships/tuition discounts. Under her leadership, the College exceeded fundraising/research goals for student scholarships, cancer research, and federal grants. As the Dean, she works inclusively with college constituents providing students the NSU “Edge” allowing them to stand out in their chosen path. Dr. Clark is a mentor to Silverman College of Pharmacy students serving as dissertation advisor, research advisor, and faculty advisor for the Student National Pharmaceutical Sciences Association. Dean Clark is a successful scholar and cardiovascular researcher, receiving over $600,000 from funding agencies to support her research. As a proponent of promoting the pharmacist’s role in health care, she focuses her research on pharmacy and health-related issues for underserved and underrepresented communities. She publishes in high impact journals, gives invited presentations, and reviews for scientific journals and granting agencies. Prior to joining the College, Dr. Clark was a researcher at Wake Forest University Hypertension and Vascular Disease Center. Her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees are from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine.
